Father's Day

Well, we definitely celebrated Father's Day in this house since Daddy is still #1!! Lyla and I are so thankful for Heath and the amazing father he is and for all he does for us. Lyla is one lucky little girl! We were sad not to make it home though to see our dads. We couldn't be more blessed to have such amazing fathers and grandfathers to Lyla. Thanks Wayne and Dad for all you do for us, we love you so much!

The night before Father's Day Lyla was already giving Daddy some love :)

Happy Father's Day!

So one of Heath's gifts was tickets to the Cardinals game the next evening. I thought it would be perfect because the game started at 6 instead of the usual 7 p.m. This would buy us an extra hour and hopefully allow us to see a few more innings of the game before Lyla was ready for bed. We were so excited to take L to Busch Stadium for the first time…but Mother Nature had other plans unfortunately.

On our way to the stadium in the rain, she did however enjoy holding the umbrella

Killing time during the rain delay

At 7:30 Lyla was starting to get tired, we still hadn't heard a game start time and the rain was still coming down so we decided to leave and pray at this point the game would be cancelled and rescheduled. Back to the car we went :(

The game started 30 minutes later…oh well, Happy Father's Day! We joked about how we basically just paid a lot of money to have a greasy ball park hamburger!
