Back Where I Come From...

Well in the town where I was raised,
the clock ticks and the cattle grazed
time passed with amazing grace
back where I come from…

Sorry, my favorite Kenny Chesney song popped into my head as I started this post! The first weekend of June Lyla and I made a visit to my parents' place while Heath played in a golf tournament in Illinois. I always love our time home with family and hope that one day we can move closer to them. Lyla got to see Grandpa's new combine…but she was a little scared! She also got to spend lots of time with her cousins who she adores! We tried to take all 6 grandkids to the zoo, however when we got there it was flooded from the storms the night before. So we went for a little walk around Jefferson Pointe, an outdoor mall. The weather was perfect so the kids had fun playing on Grandpa's new swing set. Great weekend!

Reading books with Lucas
There was a little bit of water...
All 6 grandkids (and the Stroller Brigade!)

I think these two were conspiring a way to ditch their strollers

Checking out the combine

I think this may be my favorite!
Sharing a toy tractor
Having fun swinging
Knuckles!!

While he is EXTREMELY cute, I have to be impartial and say ALL of my nephews are the cutest ever!!
Look at this grin!

Three things I love about this pic: 1. Ev's hair, obviously! 2. Lyla's expression 3. My dad in the background checking on his crops :)
