Well in the town where I was raised,
the clock ticks and the cattle grazed
time passed with amazing grace
back where I come from…
Sorry, my favorite Kenny Chesney song popped into my head as I started this post! The first weekend of June Lyla and I made a visit to my parents' place while Heath played in a golf tournament in Illinois. I always love our time home with family and hope that one day we can move closer to them. Lyla got to see Grandpa's new combine…but she was a little scared! She also got to spend lots of time with her cousins who she adores! We tried to take all 6 grandkids to the zoo, however when we got there it was flooded from the storms the night before. So we went for a little walk around Jefferson Pointe, an outdoor mall. The weather was perfect so the kids had fun playing on Grandpa's new swing set. Great weekend!

Three things I love about this pic: 1. Ev's hair, obviously! 2. Lyla's expression 3. My dad in the background checking on his crops :) |
