Mother's Day
This year we were in St. Louis for Mother's Day. While we really missed spending the day with Grandma and Great Grandma Goodmiller, I soaked up every minute with my two little ladies. We went to church for the first time, not ours but the Wasson's to watch their little Henry get dedicated. Then we went to McCallister's for lunch and mama got a massage while everyone went home for a nap! After the girls woke up we went to the park for the rest of the afternoon. I thank God everyday I get to be a Mommy to these two little ladies. I never thought I could be so blessed!

Mini Mama
Someone has turned into not only an amazing big sister and "helper" but she has also become quite the Mini Mama. I love watching her copy whatever I am doing with her baby dolls and stuffed animals. She is such a sweetie! She is constantly patting Kately and says, "It's otay, baby!" She has even become quite the pro at putting diapers on her baby dolls and stuffed animals...we haven't let her try out her skills yet on Kately! :)
Whenever we are running low on diapers I have to grab one off of a doll or bear laying around the house!
She wanted to hold Kately and watch a Mickey Mouse

Out and About
It is true what they say about the second child! With Lyla I was a nervous wreck about germs and taking her out in public for a long time. Kately has now been out and about more at 3 weeks than Lyla was at 2 months. I know it also has to do with the fact we have a toddler who wants to go, go, go! Daddy finally took a day off of work and we were able to go to the zoo. Then over the weekend we went to watch the Blue Angels put on an air show. It has been a lot of fun spending time with my little family :)
Checking out the sea lions
Once again she had no idea she left the house
Daddy was having a lot of fun
Waiting for the air show...we didn't realize we'd be waiting for two hours due to the fact we sat about 2 miles from the air field and the first two hours of the show were all planes flying right over the air field doing tricks. Lyla could not see the planes very well so it was a long wait for the jets
Trying to keep a toddler entertained in the heat for two hours during nap time was quite a challenge!
Finally some action we could see!
Of course by this time Lyla was exhausted and the jets were too loud...maybe next year, and we'll show up two hours later :)

Fun With Grandpa & Grandma
Not only have we enjoyed having Grandma down here for two weeks but we also loved spending time with Grandpa. I love how Lyla always whispers, "Grandpa." She gets so excited when she sees both Grandpa Warner and Grandpa Peters you would think she would shout, but it is always a whisper. When Grandpa came back to pick up Grandma he spent a couple more days with us. One morning we took the girls to Grant's Farm and Lyla had so much fun with her grandparents. It is hilarious when Lyla was a baby I would have never taken her to such a place at two weeks old...poor second child! Here are some pictures from our first adventure out :)

We love you, Grandpa & Grandma!
On the tram
So sweet
These elephants were putting on quite the show for us
Grandpa was getting too close for my comfort level after our last encounter with this guy!
Helping Grandma push Kately
Another birthday cake for St. Louis
Kately was there, even though she had no idea she left the house :)
I was in the car nursing Kately when they went to visit the clydesdales, but apparently this guy really liked Lyla and was hitting the gate when she left
Thanks for a fun day, Grandpa & Grandma!
