Advent Calendar

This was the first year we have done an advent calendar and it was a lot of fun. Luckily at this age it doesn't take much to get L excited! Our daily activities consisted of lots of projects, reading Christmas stories and scripture, seeing Santa, riding the Polar Express, seeing Christmas lights, making cookies, baking Jesus a birthday cake and much more. Here are a few pictures from our calendar fun :)
Most days her favorite part was taking the note out of the stocking

Coloring window decals for our front door

Horse and carriage ride through Tilles Park's Winter Wonderland with the Wasson family - so sad most of these pictures are blurry!

Afterwards with our horse

Felt nativity (I still need to fix Mary, Heath thought she looked like the Hunchback of Bethlehem...)

Lyla loved playing with the nativity and I loved that it helped her learn all the people

Kately loved eating the nativity

In fact one time she was chewing on baby Jesus and Lyla said, "No, Kately! We don't eat Jesus...here eat Joseph!" Poor Joseph!

Making a Christmas tree

This activity almost did me in. When we were finished there were m&ms everywhere, an entire container of sprinkles was dumped on the floor, Hank had green icing on him and someone was on a sugar HIGH!

Finished product!

So proud

Eating her hard work
