One Year Ago Today...

This has been the most amazing year of my life. One year ago today as soon as I heard that little cry for the first time my life was completely changed. I will never forget the sound of that cry or how I felt when they placed her in my arms for the first time. Lyla, I have loved watching you grow and learn something new each day. The first time you smiled, giggled, rolled over, sat up, crawled, ate cereal, pulled yourself up, said "Mama,"all of the nights you fell asleep on my chest and the mornings you were standing in your crib squealing when I came in to get you I will treasure for the rest of my life. Happy Birthday, sweet girl! Daddy and I are so lucky to be your parents. We love you so much!

Here is a look back to 8.8.12:

Ready to go to the hospital, we had to be there by 8:00 a.m.

11:00 they came to take us to the Operating Room. We said a quick prayer and then we were off!

 11:26 a.m. you were here!!
So perfect!! 10 fingers, 10 toes, your Daddy's mouth and your Mama's nose!

First time I held you…so special!

Our family!

You were so lucky to have family come all the way from Indiana to meet you!

We pretty much did this the whole day!

Look at all of the hair you had!

Finally we could take you home!

Happy 1st Birthday, baby girl!
