Hospital Newborn Pictures

I wasn't going to buy any of the newborn pictures from the hospital since we are having them taken in a week...but when I saw them I could not resist!

Easter

He is Risen! This year we celebrated Easter in a different way...in the hospital. My parents brought Lyla to the hospital before they all went to church. Lucky for her the Easter bunny visits hospitals! She was very excited to hunt eggs and then she and Kately opened their Easter baskets. I was very sad to miss church - Easter Sunday is always my favorite. So instead, Kately and I rocked out to some of my favorite hymns on Pandora in the hospital room. I am so thankful for all of the many blessings in my life and even more so for a Savior who died for my sins. "Because I know He holds the future, and life is worth the living just because He lives!"

Thank you, Grandma, for this adorable picture!

Our First Days

Call me crazy, but I loved our time in the hospital. Heath goes absolutely crazy feeling the walls close in, but I love it. Nurses on call, room service any time you want it, a nursery for the middle of the night when you want to get a couple of hours of sleep...felt like a mini vacation! Because of my C-section we had to stay for 4 nights. Although I will say this time it was more difficult knowing Lyla was at home without us. I did really miss her but I knew she was in good hands with Grandpa and Grandma. Here are a few pictures from our time in the hospital.

I felt so blessed that my sisters and grandmother made the trip down to see us. They drove down on Friday and then back to IN on Saturday to be home for Easter.

Lyla was excited to see them too!

Such a good big sister

Thank you, Aunt Lori, for this gorgeous quilt!

Loved spending time with these ladies!

These pictures my mom took crack me up. Lyla apparently learned her way around the hospital :)
