February's Photos

February had some highs and lows for us. Lyla is so much fun these days. She is always on the go and talks up a storm! She loves to read books, dance, chase her kitties, help me cook, and snuggle. We are working on learning colors and letters. Some days she knows them, other days...not so much. Some of the lows this month have been all of us getting sick, the cold temperatures, and some terrible two tantrums starting a little early (eek!). I'm feeling huge these days and can't wait to meet Baby girl! Here are some random pictures from this month.

Lyla and Heath came out of our closet, Lyla had this on and Heath was announcing her as "the heavy weight champion of the world!!" She was very proud :)

Furniture shopping for the basement

Making Valentines for family

Making red velvet Valentine cupcakes

Adding the sprinkles

She approved!

She thinks it is hilarious when Hank drinks out of the sink

One morning I put a scarf on so she ran to my closet to find one as well :)

She was very excited when the mailman dropped off a package for her from Grandpa & Grandma

Goodies from their trip to Disney World, thanks, Grandpa & Grandma!

18 month checkup

Finally a warm day to go outside and play

She spent most of her time in what little snow hadn't melted yet

She decided it was time to reorganize a cupboard in the bathroom and found my hairpiece I wore on our wedding day…she is shocked!

And apparently thought it looked terrible!! :)

Our mini pizzas for dinner were going to have black olives on them, but my assistant made them disappear!

Having quite the conversation with Grandma

Another nice afternoon! Finally!

Helping Daddy do the dishes

She loves a fruit smoothie in the morning

Love this little lady

We went to dinner at Fitz's Soda Bar & Grill. She loved watching them bottle the red soda

Helping Daddy work on his car

Watching for airplanes

Apparently when you sleep in until 8 you wake up with some pretty bed-head!

Grocery shopping

Working on letters with Daddy

Giving her kitty a bath

Sending out some work emails with Dad

We had a couples' baby shower brunch for the McClures

Lyla hanging out with her friend Paul

It wouldn't be a shower without ONE game! They had to race to put diapers on the bears and then swaddle the last bear correctly

Playing some golf

Afternoon at the Park

Finally we had an afternoon where it was almost 60! Saturday after nap time we took Lyla to the park and let her go crazy. It is amazing how different going to the park with a toddler is than going with an infant! She does not stop and she won't go to the "little kid" part. She runs right with the big kids - making it difficult for this pregnant mama to keep up! Good thing Daddy was with us :)

And she's off!

When we left we stopped by to say hi to the Clydesdales

Happy Valentine's Day!

Unfortunately, once again this year on Valentine's Day the cold bug has bit us! Poor Lyla was not feeling so hot the whole day, but we still tried to make the most of it.

We were lucky Daddy could actually stay for breakfast so I made strawberry pancakes

Her poor red nose :(

Poor, sick girl two years in a row!

Her cold didn't stop her from being ornery

Since everyone had a cold we didn't feel like going out for dinner, this was my attempt at a heart-shaped calzone…luckily it tasted better than it looked!

Nothing says, "I love you" like a singing and dancing pig!

Heath also brought her home the cat balloon in the bottom of the picture, it was a HUGE hit!

My Valentine

Thanks, Love

Happy Valentine's Day!

Baby Peters

Today I had my 30 week appointment and I also had an ultrasound since at my last appointment two weeks ago they were afraid the baby was growing too fast (I was only 28 weeks but was measuring 31 weeks - not a huge difference but they wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure she was ok). Everything turned out to be fine, she is in the 59th percentile right now weighing about 3 lbs. 6 oz. The Dr. said if she continues to grow at this rate and I deliver on my due date she will probably be around 8 lbs. (Lyla was 8 lbs. 2 oz). Two weeks ago I also failed the glucose test which meant I had to do the three hour glucose test last Wednesday to make sure I did not have gestational diabetes…talk about a rough morning! I did pass though, thank goodness! Heath said he may leave me if I could not have ice cream or chocolate for the rest of this pregnancy!! So the night I got my results we celebrated with this:

The ultrasound this morning was amazing. I loved watching her move around and the tech was so sweet she did a lot of the ultrasound in 3D so I could literally see her little face! She was covering her mouth most of the time with her hand so I can't tell if she has Heath's lips like Lyla does but she definitely has the Warner nose! Here are a couple of pictures, sorry they aren't the best quality.

Here is one of the 3D shots, her left arm is over her face with her fist resting on her forehead. You can see that nose though! :)

Baby Girl, I cannot wait to meet you! Even though you were a surprise, you have been loved since the moment we knew you were coming. Your Daddy and big sister are anxious to meet you as well. I love feeling you move around every day, especially in the evenings when you make my belly dance! I can't wait to hear your first cry, see your little face in person, and get to know your sweet personality. I love you so much and am so blessed to be your Mom.
