Here we are up and at 'em at the St. Louis airport at 5:00 a.m. Lyla was very excited to fly in an airplane, Kately wasn't too sure about her first flight!
Taking in the view
Enjoying a Mickey on the flight
These two were out!
Whew! First flight was a success!
...our 2nd flight (after a layover in ATL) wasn't quite so smooth. Someone did not want to sit still ANY LONGER...
It took us a little while to travel from gate to gate :)
Here is our condo. Lyla was very excited to be sleeping in bunk beds all week (but Mommy made her sleep on the bottom...boo!) See the bathroom at the end of the hallway, that was Kately's bedroom for the week. Poor second child! But it did fit her pack-n-play perfectly!
Those stairs out on our balcony went up to a private rooftop deck with a hot tub. This was so nice at bed time when the girls went to sleep because we could take our monitor up there and relax for a little while.
This was the sky bridge which went over the highway. The resort had two sides, we were on the beach side and the other side was on a bay.
Our first night the whole crew went to Fudpuckers for dinner. Here we are checking out the gators
Lyla & Noah
However, the wait at Fudpuckers for a large party was too long so we ended up walking to a Mexican place on the boardwalk
Sweet girl!
These two are so sweet together
Finally checking out the sand for the first time
She loved it!
The resort also had a splash pad that the girls loved
Daddy is back there shooting water at her
Relaxing in our hot tub during nap time
We love the Wassons!
Good morning! Sweet girl with her kitty & tiger
Beach time
Homegirl loved the sand. In fact she loved it so much she would roll in it, eat it, basically get it in EVERY nook & cranny!
Lyla, you ready to go take a nap? "No, I not tired..."
Henry was lights out!
Up on our balcony ready for the fireworks off the pier
Lyla was not scared of the ocean at all. She loved "jumping whitecaps". Here her and Daddy were having fun
They were having quite the conversation poolside :)
Kately and Aunt Kay
My loves
I wish I could just freeze time and keep her this little! I love her sweet laughter and how she finds such joy in the simple things :)
Frozen yogurt
Walking on the pier
Ready to hit the beach
Look at this sweet beach bum!
We tried to use the timer for a family shot but cut off Daddy's head...
This was the Wasson's last night (they stayed from Sat.-Sat. and we were Mon.-Mon.) so we went out for crab legs
Love how this girl's hair curls right up in the humidity!
Lazy river time
Sweet girl fell asleep on the Lazy River
We made several trips around!
Little stinker!
Enjoying lunch on the patio
There was an air force base nearby and the girls loved watching all the aircraft
Running from the waves
This was how we spent most evenings once the girls went to bed...he put on my hat here in an attempt to rally - because I was WINNING :)
We went out to breakfast on Sunday - our last full day and also our 7th Anniversary
Checking out the fish and crabs after we ate
Last day on the beach, soaking it in like her mama!
I had to laugh by our last day about how MUCH STUFF we had to take with us every time we left the condo! Thank goodness we had a stroller to load up!
Pretty girls ready for dinner
Happy Anniversary, Babe! Here's to 7 amazing years and 70 more!
Goodbye, Florida!
And once again these two did this...
Sorry for all the pictures!!
