The Good Stuff: Happy 4th of July!

Our second week back home, the week of the 4th, we were able to spend it at the lake. We had so much fun even though it was too chilly most days for swimming. There is just something about being on the water that is so relaxing! We were so happy to spend some time with Grandpa, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Besides Mama's little accident our last day there (7 stitches because I stuck a knife through my finger while making guacamole), we had a great week!

I thought Heath was just going to pick up some poppers and sparklers for the 4th...oh no. Not Heath Griswold Peters. He came home with BAGS of fireworks so we had night 1 of 4 of our fireworks display!

I don't know how, but Kately slept through them all

We did move Kately inside for the big ones. Lyla wasn't too sure about the big, loud fireworks. She started screaming when the first ones went off then we all had to laugh because as soon as they stopped she said, "Nice job, Daddy!"

After the fishing was when we made our lovely visit to Angola's emergency room. The rest of the day we enjoyed our time with friends who came up for the day.
