Here are just a few extra pictures from December. Lyla has become quite the helper around here. She LOVES helping me unload/load the dishwasher, she has learned how to turn on the washer (yikes!) and likes to move the clothes from the washer to the dryer, she helps me make our bed every morning, and really likes "helping" me cook. She is obsessed with socks, even though she rarely has them on her feet and reading books is still one of her favorite things to do. We had a great December and loved spending time with our family and friends. Looking forward to all of the good things 2014 will bring!

Florida

We had the pleasure of heading to Boca Raton, Florida this past weekend to celebrate the marriage of one of Heath's college golf teammates. We had a lot of fun on our little getaway and were able to see a lot of our college friends. The whole weekend was quite an event. We were invited to the rehearsal dinner on Friday night which took place on board a yacht and then did our best to clean up for the black tie event on Saturday. The wedding was beautiful, the food was amazing, and we had a great time dancing to the band. I also enjoy seeing Mr. Peters dressed up in a tux! We stayed until Monday morning and since all of our friends left on Sunday, we were able to have an impromptu date night Sunday night. We went and saw the new Hunger Games movie, had an amazing sushi dinner and finished the evening with huge ice cream sundaes. Congratulations, Jeff & Christina!

 We are so grateful to my parents for watching Lyla for us. While it was nice to get away we really missed our bean girl. We were able to FaceTime a few times which helped. My parents met us for lunch on Monday near the Indy airport so we could head back to the Lou. We know she had a great time with them because as soon as we got on the highway she was OUT. She slept for over 2 hours which she NEVER does in the car. Thanks, Mom & Dad!!

The day after Christmas we were able to celebrate with the Peters side. Like all of the other gatherings, we really enjoyed spending time with our family and eating, eating, eating! Lyla was once again spoiled! She really enjoyed all of her presents and spending time with her cousins.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas! We had such a great day. I loved seeing how excited Lyla was opening her presents - even though we had to bribe her with some goldfish to get the job done! After we opened Santa gifts and our family gifts, we went to my Uncle Dave's for Christmas with the Goodmiller side. We had a great time celebrating, spending time together, and of course eating! Then we drove up to Grandpa Peters' to spend some time with the Birthday boy. I tried as much as I could to remember to take everything in throughout the day. I'm so excited next year we will have two little girls to enjoy Christmas with. As much fun as the day was being with loved ones and opening gifts, I hope my girls always remember the true meaning of Christmas and celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas!!
