September's Pictures

Apparently I did not take many pictures in September! We had a lot of fun with friends and loved spending time with family in Indiana. I can't believe how big she is getting. We are so close to walking on our own, she takes a few steps but still is much faster crawling. She still loves animals and knows a lot of the sounds they make. Heath and I just love this age and how much her personality is coming out each day. Lyla, you are such a funny, sweet little girl. We love you so much!

Nothing like a little morning yoga in the teepee

Techno party in the tub!

She didn't know what to think of the techno music Daddy was playing…although this may have also been her reaction to Daddy doing a little techno dance with the lights! He would not let me video his dance, but this was pretty much my reaction as well!!

Some days it is so hard to get my laundry sorted...

Morning at the Park

Finally we had a cool morning! Fall is my favorite time of the year mainly because of the weather but this year we have been in the 80s and 90s almost every day in September! At least the last day of the month we finally had a break! I took Lyla to her favorite park, Suson Park, where they have a little farm filled with animals. She was so much fun talking to the animals and Baa-ing at the poor sheep. Here are a few pics from our morning.

Baa!!

She thought this cow was hilarious. Every time I would say, "Moo" the cow would wag his tail and L would die laughing.

Such a fun morning with my girl!

Grandpa Peters

We were so excited to have Grandpa come visit for the weekend. Lyla loves spending time with him. On Thursday Heath and Grandpa went to the Rams game and then on Friday they were able to go to the Cards/Cubs game and watch the Cards clinch the NL Central title. On Saturday we spent the morning at Grant's Farm and then grabbed lunch downtown at the Taste of St. Louis event going on. Then it was naps for everyone!! We had a lot of fun and hope you come back soon, Grandpa!

Trip Home/Weekend Away

Lyla and I were excited to be able to spend a week back home in Indiana while Daddy was on his annual "Business" (GOLF) Trip. We were able to spend lots of time with cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and Grandparents. Then I drove to Bloomington to meet Heath and our small group from church for the IU/Mizzou game. We had a great time and were lucky to have my parents watch Lyla. She had a lot of fun! Thank you Grandpa and Grandma!

All ready to go to Indiana

When I was little my sisters, cousins, and I spent hours bouncing on old tractor tires - it was so much fun! Grandpa brought one home and the grandkids really enjoyed it as well.

We got to meet Grandpa Peters, Uncle Doug, Aunt Cindy, Uncle Ryan, and Chris for dinner one night. Someone ate A LOT!

Game Day!

In this exact spot 6 years ago to the day (almost, 1 day early) Heath proposed right in this spot…I said yes :)

While we were walking around campus Coach Crean drove by on his fancy golf cart showing some new recruits around

Tailgating

Kara stopped by for a little bit

This was almost the end of the game (since most of our crew are Mizzou fans we had to stick around and watch the IU beating). I absolutely love the man above Heath's right shoulder…this explains exactly how all of us IU fans were feeling!

While we were away Grandpa and Grandma took Lyla to the zoo with the Alwines. Thanks for the pics!
